Shimano 105 BR-R7010 Direct Mount Rim Brake - More aerodynamics and tyre clearance

The Shimano 105 rim brake BR-R7010 for direct mount is mounted directly on the fork or the rear triangle (chainstays or seatstays). The main advantages of this type of mount are more aerodynamics, a cleaner appearance and even an increase in braking power. The brake offers space for tyres up to 28 mm wide and, thanks to SLR-EV technology, offers convincing performance that can be easily adjusted. Angle-adjustable cartridge brake shoes with R55C4 brake pads complete the package.

Note from the manufacturer: When caliper is fully closed without rear wheel, the length of brake outer casing should be long enough between cable outer stopper and caliper.

SLR-EV
SLR-EV is a revised SLR with symmetric dual pivot side-pull brakes. A short-arm brake design uses two bearings and a roller to achieve greater efficiency in the joint area and provide superior modulation and force when braking.
